WHAT STUDENTS LEARN

Skills that become music.

Lessons combine technique, listening, reading and repertoire. Teachers adjust the balance to suit the student’s age, experience and musical goals.

01

Know your instrument

Keyboard layout, voices, controls and comfortable playing posture.

02

Melody and chords

Read melodies, build common chords and connect both hands.

03

Rhythm and style

Use accompaniment patterns, pulse and articulation across musical styles.

04

Independent playing

Develop practice habits, musical choices and performance confidence.

A TYPICAL FIRST YEAR

One year, four clear stages.

This is a practical guide, not a fixed promise. Starting level, attendance, practice and individual readiness shape the exact pace.

Months 1–3

Start strong

Notes, finger numbers, pulse and simple right-hand melodies.

Months 4–6

Build fluency

Basic chords, left-hand patterns, reading and coordinated two-hand pieces.

Months 7–9

Make it musical

Voicing, style, technical fluency and a broader performance set.

Months 10–12

Share and progress

Refine repertoire, strengthen supporting skills and assess Trinity readiness.

EXAM PATHWAY

Progress with purpose.

We use current official syllabus information to guide exam preparation. The teacher recommends a board, grade and timeline after understanding the student’s level, goals and learning pace.
